Seven wine cellars from Georgia participated in the exhibition. Traditionally, there has been great interest in Georgian wine from wine professionals and the media. Visitors to the exhibition had the opportunity to learn about the ancient traditions of Georgian wine production, its culture, and history, along with Georgian wines. Presentation of Georgian wine at the international exhibition increases the awareness of Qvevri wine, which provides an opportunity to find potential importers and increase exports.
"RAW Wine" (The Artisan Wine Fair) is considered one of the outstanding exhibitions where producers of high-quality natural, organic and biodynamic wines gather. The organizer of the exhibition is Isabelle Legeron, a famous wine expert from France. This year, about 100 manufacturers from 13 countries participated in the exhibition, including countries such as France, Spain, Germany, Italy, Chile, and others.
Consul General of Georgia in San Francisco, Levan Beridze attended the exhibition.
It should be noted that on November 13-14, the companies participating in the Los Angeles exhibition will be represented in the city of New York at the same format exhibition "RAW Wine NY".
Considering the possibility of finding potential importers and export growth, it is especially important to introduce Georgian wine to the USA. The USA is one of the strategic export markets of Georgian wine, where according to the data of 10 months of the current year, up to one million bottles of wine were exported, which is 7% higher than the similar indicator of last year. In 2021, the historical maximum of Georgian wine export was recorded in the United States of America, more than 1 million bottles of wine. In addition, the US market is one of the most expensive segments for Georgian wine, where the price of one liter of Georgian wine exceeds 6 USD.
