Georgian wine is presented at an international exhibition in Germany
With the support of the National Wine Agency and organized by the Georgian Wine Association, the exhibition "ProWein-2022" presents different wines of 24 Georgian wine companies in Dusseldorf, Germany.
At one of the most important international exhibitions of wine and spirits, wine professionals, experts, media representatives and guests of the exhibition have the opportunity to get acquainted with and evaluate Georgian wines for three days.
In order to diversify and increase sales of wine export markets, participation in the exhibition "ProWein" is of particular importance.
Within the framework of the exhibition, a Georgian wine tasting seminar "Georgia - Homeland of Wine" was held at the stand of the prestigious German media holding "Meininger", led by a sommelier and wine expert Inge Mainzer. This event is another important step to increasing the awareness of Georgian wine both in Germany and in Europe in general.
The exhibition was attended by the Consul General of Georgia in the Federal Republic of Germany, Giorgi Tabatadze.
During the exhibition, representatives of the National Wine Agency and companies held business meetings and talks with wine importers, representatives of trade chains and media, wine professionals, and experts from Germany and around the world.
"The main goal of the National Wine Agency is to diversify the markets. Germany is a strategic market for Georgian wine. In order to increase the awareness of Georgian wine, we have been cooperating with the local German marketing company "ff.k Public Relations" since 2021, which helps Georgian wine companies increase sales in the German market. Last year, up to 900 thousand bottles of wine were exported from Georgia to Germany, the largest importer of wine in Europe. The export growth trend in this country is maintained this year as well, ”said Tamar Metreveli, Head of the Marketing and PR Department of the National Wine Agency.
According to the representatives of Georgian wine companies, "ProWein" is one of the best opportunities to attract new trading partners, increase wine sales and expand export markets.
