Cadastral data on vineyards are constantly updated
13.04.2022

The cadastral information of the vineyards is regularly updated in Kakheti and Racha-Lechkhumi, in eight administrative centers of Ambrolauri and Kakheti municipalities by the staff of the National Wine Agency.
The vineyard cadaster program in Kakheti and Racha-Lechkhumi regions was implemented in 2021. At this stage, information about vineyard-related changes such as buying, selling, renting, donating, cultivating, or uprooting is being updated.
The National Wine Agency launched the Vineyard Cadaster Program in 2014. As a result, information on 42,966 hectares of vineyards, 35,336 viticulturists, and 113,093 plots has been collected in Kakheti and Racha-Lechkhumi regions. According to the current regulation, the viticulturist is not allowed to deliver the grapes to the factory without a cadastral extract.
The creation of the Georgian National Vineyard Cadaster will ensure the simplification and transparent conduct of the vintage process. The vineyard cadaster is created by collecting detailed information on the identification and registration of each vineyard plot (vine varieties in the vineyard, planting date, vineyard condition, etc.).
The vineyard cadaster program is planned to be implemented in Kvemo Kartli, Shida Kartli, Mtskheta-Mtianeti, and Samtskhe-Javakheti regions in 2022 and shortly will cover all the viticulture regions of Georgia.
