Meeting with representatives of Silk Road Wines and Emerald Vines Media
Minister of Environmental Protection and Agriculture Levan Davitashvili met with representatives of American companies Silk Road Wines and Emerald Vines Media.
At the meeting, the parties discussed the issue of export potential and promotion of Georgian wine in the United States market.
The meeting was attended by the Chairman of the National Wine Agency Levan Mekhuzla and the founder of the American company "Silk Road Wines" Yanik Arakelov.
The President of the American company "Emerald Vines Media", Esmeralda Struik, made a presentation, which discussed the challenges and goals of raising the awareness of Georgian wine in the US market.
Levan Davitashvili thanked the representatives of the company for their interest in Georgian wine and noted that the Ministry, in active cooperation with the National Wine Agency and Georgian wine producers, managed to increase the export potential, competitiveness and awareness of Georgian wine in international markets.
“Georgian wine is one of the main export products of our country. The National Wine Agency organizes tastings, competitions, international wine conferences, exhibitions and media-tours to promote the development of the Georgian wine sector. Georgian wine export and demand for it is growing. "The USA is a strategic market for Georgian wine and, therefore, it is important for us to maximize awareness raising," - said Levan Davitashvili.
At the meeting, the parties agreed to continue communication and cooperation on issues related to the promotion of Georgian wine in the US market, which will contribute to the deepening of trade and economic relations between the two countries.
