In Yiwu, China, Two “Georgian Wine Houses” Were Opened
In Yiwu, Zhejiang province, People’s Republic of China, 2 “Georgian Wine Houses” were opened, which will offer the native consumer variety of Georgian wine. Here the consumer will have opportunity not only to taste Georgian wine, but also learn Georgian culture and history.
The opening of “Georgian Wine Houses” in Yiwu was attended by representative of National Wine Agency of Ministry of Agriculture of Georgia, Maia Tskitishvili.
Georgian wine shop-salon chain “Georgian Wine House” is a joint project of Chinese “Suolun” company and on Georgian side “Tbilinvest Group”, which is very successful and in Zhejiang and Xinjiang provinces, 8 Georgian wine shop-salons, “Georgian Wine Houses” have been opened during the last 8 months.
Leadership of “Suolun” company considers, that “Georgian Wine House” became very popular in China and growth of the number of the shops will support Georgian wine popularity increase in China.
The brand - “Georgian Wine House” was first opened last year in Zhejiang province by “Suolun” company and the company is planning to open 80 more chains with native partners all over China till the end of the year.
In China, several dozen of Georgian wine objects, shops, salons, pavilions, houses, centers, restaurants and others have been opened within last two years by various importer companies.
It’s remarkable, that according to the data of the last 6 months, in the list of Georgian wine exporter countries, China replaced the 4th place to the 3rd, after such traditional markets, as Russia and Ukraine. 1.9 ml bottles(0.75l) of wine have been exported to China in the past half of the year, the growth exceeded 148% compared to the similar data of the last year.
