Average export price of a bottle of wine is 25% lower in 2016

In the first half of the year, 19.8 mil.(0.75) bottles of wine (0.75 l) was exported Georgia to 40 countries worldwide, that is 44% higher, than the similar  data of the past year. In the period under review, 46.6 million USD worth of wine was exported, that is 18 % higher, than the similar data of the past year. 

Simultaneously with wine export increase, wine realization price decrease is fixed. Average export price of a bottle of wine (0.75l) is 0.78 USD, or 25% lower in 2016, than the average price of 2014.

Also, the average export price of a bottle of brand has decreased. In this case, the reduce compiled 0.87 USD, or 27%. In 2012,  average realization price of a bottle of wine  (0.75l) was 3.07 USD, 2013 year - 3.03, 2014 year - 3.13, 2015 year - 2,72 and according to data of 6 months of the current year - 2.35 USD. Similar declining tendency is fixed on brand alcohol and brand prices. Brand alcohol - 2012 – 5.91, 2013 – 3.88, 2014 – 3.18, 2015 -2.98 and the first half of 2016 - 2.71 USD;  brand  - 2012 – 3.22, 2013 – 3.02, 2014 – 3.17, 2015 -2.56  and the first half of  2016 -  2.29 USD.

Average prices  fixed in 2012-2015 reduced for 0.65 USD in wine case, brand alcohol – 1.32 and brand – 0.72 USD.

Despite average export price decease, on export number growth base, total income has grown in 2016  in wine case and also brand and brand alcohol cases

In the first half of the current year, the growth is remarkable as in the countries of European Union, as in China and other traditional market. China - 148% (1 884 665),  Ukraine - 82% (2 286 977),Russia -  56% (10 198 085), Byelorussia - 96% (462 547), Lithuania - 31% (260 064), Poland - 34% (1 070 454), Estonia - 64% (331 884), Kirgizstan - 89% (149 666),  German - 55% (166 636), Canada - 16% (96 300), UK- 43% (58 366)and etc.

The five of export countries are the following: Russia – 10 198 085 bottles; Ukraine -2 286 977 bottles; China – 1 884 665 bottles; Kazakhstan – 1 764 286 bottles; Poland  -1 070 454 bottles.
