The Mayor of Bern, Alec von Graffenried: "I wish good luck to Georgian wine in Switzerland"
"Georgian Wine Forum" was held in Bern, the capital of the Swiss Confederation, within the framework of the "FERNWEH" festival. This is the first event of this scale in Switzerland and it is especially important for promoting the awareness and export of Georgian wine.
The Mayor of Bern, Alec von Graffenried, attended the Wine Forum and got acquainted with the history of Georgian winemaking and the wines presented by Georgian wine companies.
The current festival "FERNWEH" in Bern means introducing the culture of foreign countries to the locals. Today I got to know Georgia, which has an 8,000-year-old tradition and history of wine production in pitchers, as well as wines from different regions, which I did not know before. I am glad to have attended this forum. I wish success to Georgian wine in Switzerland, "said the mayor.
The Georgian Wine Forum was held in Switzerland with the support of the Ministry of Environmental Protection and Agriculture, the National Wine Agency and the National Tourism Administration, and was organized by the Embassy of Georgia in the Swiss Confederation, the Georgian Wine Gallery and the Georgian Cultural Center in Switzerland.
Zviad Arabidze, the founder of Georgian Wine Gallery (GeoHaus GmbH) also presented the presentation-tasting of Georgian wine within the forum.
