"Georgian Wine Forum" is being held in Bern, Switzerland
With the support of the National Wine Agency and the National Tourism Administration, the Georgian Wine Forum will be held on October 29-31 in Bern, Switzerland within the framework of the FERNWEH Festival. The festival aims to present the culture of foreign countries and many countries participate in it.
According to the Deputy Chairman of the National Wine Agency, Davit Tkemaladze, this is the first time the event of this scale is being held in Switzerland with the support and active involvement of the National Wine Agency, which is important for increasing the awareness of Georgian wine in this market.
"The main goal of the Georgian Wine Forum in Bern is to promote Georgian wine and promote its establishment on the Swiss market, to present its history, traditions, modernity and perspectives. Against the background of high competition in the European market, Georgian wine has a uniqueness that allows it to compete with European wine-producing countries. It should be noted that the state is actively working to diversify the Georgian wine markets, as a result of which, in recent years, the awareness of Georgian wine worldwide has been steadily increasing, therefore, exports, "- said David Tkemaladze.
Within the framework of the forum, Giorgi Tevzadze, Advisor to the Chairman of the National Wine Agency, made a presentation on Georgian wine traditions, culture and history. Tata Jaiani, a representative of the Georgian Wine Association, spoke about the marketing strategy of Georgian wine.
The forum held at the Casino Bern House of Culture, presents wines of 9 different Georgian wine companies.
The event is organized by the Embassy of Georgia in the Swiss Confederation, Georgian Wine Gallery (GeoHaus GmbH) and the Georgian Cultural Center in Switzerland.
