In order to discuss the organizational issues of the upcoming vintage, the Head of the Regional Relations Department of the Rural Development Agency met with wine producers
"Employees of the Ministry of Environmental Protection and Agriculture will be actively involved in the organization of the vintage, including the regulation of queues," said Lasha Shalamberidze, head of the Regional Relations Department of the Rural Development Agency and deputy head of the vintage coordination staff.
Lasha Shalamberidze called on wine producers to strictly follow the regulations related to the pandemic, which is essential for the smooth conduct of the vintage.
The importance of the vineyard cadaster was once again discussed at the meeting. As it is known, within the framework of the 2021 vintage, in Kakheti and Racha-Lechkhumi regions, farmers will not be able to deliver grapes to the wine companies without a cadastral extract of vineyards. In addition, the yield limit and quality of grapes to be determined according to the specifications of the PDOs will be strictly controlled. The growers have been informed about it since the beginning of the year, including the information-consulting services of the Rural Development Agency. Electronic programs have been developed to effectively implement these regulations.
