Queues by wine factories are an active working process, the main thing is organized management - Otar Shamugia
According to the Deputy Minister of Environmental Protection and Agriculture, Otar Shamugia, the forecasted grape harvest by 2021 will reach a record number, up to 300 thousand tons.
"About 250 wine companies will be involved in processing the grape harvest. In the vintage process, rows of machines loaded with grapes at wine factories, especially during the peak vintage period, is a working process: the delivery of grapes to wineries involves accounting and specific technological procedures that require some time. The main thing is that the coordination staff will manage the queues. Our task is to be as organized as possible, so that the growers do not have to wait for several days and be able to accommodate the harvest in a day," - said the Deputy Minister.
According to Otar Shamugia, the organized, electronic management of the queues will be significantly facilitated by the vineyard cadaster program. In particular, on the basis of the extract of the pre-submitted vineyard cadaster in the winery, the company will register the grape grower on a specific day to deliver the grapes, which gives the winemakers the best opportunity to manage the queues.
