Registration of vineyards and delivering the harvest by cadastral extract became mandatory for all viticulturists of Kakheti and Racha-Lechkhumi regions. From 2021, during the vintage, without a cadastral extract of the vineyards, the viticulturist will not be able to deliver the grapes to the wine factories.
Registration is underway in Kakheti region in Telavi, Kvareli, Gurjaani, Sighnaghi, Dedoplistskaro, Akhmeta and Lagodekhi municipalities at a total of 70 locations. The registration process will start next week in Sagarejo municipality.
The viticulturist must present only the ID card at the registration precincts, obtaining the cadastral extract is free of charge.
In Kakheti region, in total, about 24 thousand viticulturist-farmers have already been registered, out of which up to 9 thousand this year. The registration process in Racha Lechkhumi region started in August 2021 and more than 300 viticulturist farmers are have been registered.
