Georgian wine tasting was held in Poland

In order to maintain the growing rate of Georgian wine exports, an active marketing campaign is carried out in Poland, one of the largest exporting countries.
Georgian wine tasting was organized by the National Wine Agency contractor company "Malinova" in the historical settlement "Srebrna Gora" near the city of Krakow. Georgian wines were presented both made by classical and traditional technology in Qvevri. The tasting was attended by wine professionals, restaurateurs, sommeliers, wine trade and media representatives, a total of about 70 guests. The tasting featured 14 wines, including products from companies which are now developing in the Polish market now with the support of the National Wine Agency. The wines were presented by local importers.
Poland is one of the strategic markets for Georgian wine, where exports are growing every year. In 2020, more than 5 million bottles of Georgian wine were exported. The growth, compared to 2019 exports, was 30%. For the first 5 months of this year, exports amounted to more than 2.2 million bottles (an increase of 11%).
