With the support of the National Wine Agency, an online tasting of Georgian wine was held in Poland
The tasting organized by the National Wine Agency contractor company, Malinova, presented the wines of those Georgian companies that do not currently export wine to the Polish market.
The presentation of Georgian wine was led by the head of the publishing company "Vinisfera" Mariusz Kapczynski from Krakow. Importers from Poland participated in the tasting online, who had been sent the samples of wine from 25 Georgian companies in advance. The wines were tasted and evaluated during the tasting.
The aim of such events is to facilitate the establishment of new producers in the Polish wine market. Poland is one of the strategic markets for Georgian wine, where exports are growing every year. In 2020, about 60 companies exported wine from Georgia to Poland; More than 5 million bottles of Georgian wine were exported (increase of 30%). Poland ranked the 3rd place among 60 exporting countries. According to the data of the first four months of the current year, exports amounted to more than 1.8 million bottles (an increase of 2%).
To maintain the growing rate of Georgian wine exports, in one of the largest exporting countries, Poland, in 2021, an active marketing campaign will continue. The campaign will be implemented by the National Wine Agency contactor company "Malinova" ("Malinova spólka z ograniczoną odpowiedzialnością S.K"). The agency has been successfully cooperating with the company since 2016.
