Georgian wine tasting was held in Hong Kong
In order to diversify Georgian wine export markets, the "Georgian Wine Festival" was held in Hong Kong led by Debra Meiburg, Head of the National Wine Agency contractor marketing company Meiburg Wine Media.
15 Georgian wine producers represented their production at the festival, which was attended by wine importers, representatives of restaurants, hotel chains and the media, which is particularly important for raising awareness of Georgian wines. Despite the difficult political situation in Hong Kong, the event was attended by a large number of guests, and it lasted longer than planned.
The event was held within the framework of the "Georgian Wine Asia Tour of", which involves presenting Georgian wines in different cities of China.
In recent years, the People's Republic of China has taken place in the top five Georgian wine exporting countries. According to the data for the first 10 months of 2019, more than 6 million bottles of wine were exported from Georgia to China, up by 12% from the same period of the last year.
