Wine festival was held in Gurjaani
Within the framework of Georgian Wine Days “Gvinobistve 2019”, Gurjaani Wine Festival was held, attended by the President of Georgia Salome Zurabishvili. Deputy Ministers of Environment Protection and Agriculture of Georgia Khatia Tsilosani, Yuri Nozadze and Solomon Pavliashvili, also Zurab Vatcharadze, Deputy Head of the National Wine Agency attended the event.
Gurjaani Wine Festival is being held for the third year. More than 200 wine producers participated in the event. The festival aims to promote the development of wine tourism, to introduce wine culture and Georgian traditions to foreign visitors and Georgian society. This year, Gurjaani Wine Festival was attended by wine producers from different parts of Georgia.
The guests of the “Gurjaani Wine Festival” had the opportunity to taste different wines, prepare Tatara and Churchkhela, take part in a fun quiz, in which the winners were awarded by wines. During the festival, Qvevri was also opened. The festival was attended by folk and choreographic ensembles.
The festival was supported by the Ministry of Environment Protection and Agriculture of Georgia, Ministry of Economy and Sustainable Development of Georgia, Ministry of Education, Science, Culture and Sport of Georgia, LEPL National Wine Agency and LEPL National Tourism Administration of Georgia.
