The peak of daily grape processing is observed in Kakheti
The record amount of the vintage 2019 daily grape processing was observed in Kakheti.
“According to the data of the last 24 hours, daily grape processing volume in Kakheti has reached 9,000 tons, which is the record data for almost 30 years. About 70, small, medium and large wine cellars were involved in the processing of grapes. Vintage coordination HQ members are mobilized to prevent large queues at wine factories in such high processing conditions. In case of large flows of vehicles by wineries, they will be readdressed to nearby wineries, ” the vintage coordinating HQ says.
As of 10:00 pm September 17, up to 63,000 tons of grapes have been processed in Kakheti: 41,000 tons of Rkatsiteli, 16,000 tons of Saperavi, 2.8,000 tons of Kakhetian Green and other varieties of grapes.
Vintage Coordination Headquarters has 230 wine-producing companies involved in the vintage process.
