About 2,000 viticulturists have delivered grapes to enterprises in Kakheti region

According to the data of September 12, 10:00 a.m. 23 thousand tons of different grapes have been processed in Kakheti region, including 10,7 thousand tons of Rkatsiteli, 7,5 tons of Saperavi, 2,4 thousand tons of Kakhuri Mtsvane and other different varieties.

About 2,000 viticulturists have already delivered grapes to the wine factories. 

At this stage, the largest quantity of grapes is processed in the Sighnaghi municipality - up to 7,000 tons, where along with Dedoplistskaro, vintage takes start in Kakheti.

Over 30 wine factories will be involved in the grapes processing today, including Gurjaani, Dedoplistskaro, Sighnaghi, Telavi and Kvareli municipalities. There are already 170 wine producing companies registered at the vintage HQ, which will be involved in various stages of the vintage process.


This year about 200-250 thousand tons of grapes are expected to be harvested in Kakheti region. LEPL National Wine Agency of the Ministry of Environment Protection and Agriculture of Georgia is mobilized to ensure, that growers can deliver grapes in an organized and smooth way.

Vintage 2019 Coordination HQ is located in The Wine Hotel Telavi (97 Alazani St.) in Telavi.
