Presentation of Monographic publication “Georgia - Wine Cradle” was held
Presentation of famous winemaker and alcohol beverage specialist, Bondo Kalandaze’s new monographic publication “Georgia - Wine Cradle” was held with support of National Wine Agency.
600 paged illustrated book is significant for it’s content and consists of four parts: “Roots”, “XIXth Century”, “XXth Century” and “XXIth Century”. Reader has opportunity to learn Georgian wine tradition the ancient time up to this date. Some information about winery development is published the first time in this book and is rich of visual materials.
10 monographies are published in Bondo kalandadze’s authorship, he is awarded by successful winemaker gold medal, is a member of different international organizations in wine field, more than 50 liqueur and “Chacha” recipes are created by him.
The presentation was attended by veteran winemakers, representatives of Ministry of Agriculture, Georgian Parliament, wine companies and winery field.
As the Minister of Agriculture, Mr.Otar Danelia mentioned, the book is outstanding for it’s unique materials, diversity and content.
“Today’s ceremony is very important, we hosted veteran winemakers. Mr.Bondo has already represented number of important books, complemented with stupendous materials, which requires really great labour. Here is information, which was not available before and what is staple, Mr. Bondo still works on new books with board. Ministry will do everything to support the growth of such literature and transmit to new generations” – mentioned Otar Danelia.
Chair of Sector Economy and Economic Policy Committee, Zurab Tkemaladze thinks, that the publication mentioned above is very important for popularizing Georgian wine.
“Mr.Bondo has written many books about winery. This publication has informational importance. It’s great, that such annalists people still exist in winery, which can transmit Georgian winery history to papers” – mentioned deputy.
The head of National Wine Agency, Giorgi Samanishvili stated, that the book must become accessible for the vast masses.
“Each Georgian should know ancient traditions of Georgian vinery and winery. Publication of this book was aimed to let more people know about our winery history of ancient culture. There are new unique photos in the book, 8 thousand years up to this date. Everybody in Georgia should have this book” – mentioned Giorgi Samanishvili.
A representative of Georgian Parliament National Library awarded Bondo Kalandadze with a special ensign for receiving special literature about winery for library vine and wine hall him.
