Georgian wine is tasted in Japan

In the capital of Japan, Tokyo, by National Wine Agency support, the following 8 Georgian winemaking companies are displayed in the undergoing international fair -“Wine and Gourmet Japan 2016” : ”Tbilvino”, “Wineman”, “Bagrationi 1882”, “Kindzmarauli”, “Tsereteli Wine and Alcohol Beverage Company”, “Maranuli” “Dugladze Wines & spirits” and “Besini”. Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Georgia  in China, Davit Aptsiauri and representatives of National Wine Agency attended the opening of the fair. 

On the first day of the event, Georgian wine-tasting and seminar was held under the leadership of  adviser of National Wine Agency chairman, Giorgi TevzaZe and great interest was expressed by wine professionals and native media  towards him.

In 2014 Japan turned up as one of the potentially progressive market for Georgian wine export. On purpose of diversification of realization market, by National Wine Agency support, Georgian wine has been displayed  for the fifth time at the fairs of international importance  held in Japan for last two years.

For Georgian winemaking companies, participating in the fair mentioned above is the best way of popularizing the product, entering and developing on the market and finding native distributor companies. Presentation of Georgian wine at “Wine and Gourmet Japan 2016” encourages the increase of Georgian wine publicity even more, not only in Japan, but in neighborhood Asian countries as well.

Last year, “Wine and Gourmet Japan” had more than 75 thousand visitors. This year, the interest towards the fair is still great. The fair mentioned above is considered as one of the interesting and perspective exhibitions in Asia and participation in the fair is priority for popularizing Georgian wine. This year also gathered leading vine specialists, buyers and importers  on Asia bases at the fair.
