Data of the first quarter of export
According to National Wine Agency data, 7 694 748 bottles (0.75l) of wine have been exported Georgia to 26 countries in the world in 2016 January to March, that is 51% higher than the similar data of the last year. During the period under review, 18 144 738 US dollars worth of wine was distributed, that is 20% higher than the index of the similar period of the last year.
Herewith, 2 193 395 (0.75l) bottles of brand has been exported in 10 countries in the world, that is 116% higher than the index of the similar period of the last year. In whole, 5 046 166 US dollars worth of brand has been exported – the growth compared to the last year reach 70%.
The first five exporting countries in the world are: Russia - 4 077 797, Ukraine - 1 088 862, Kazakhstan - 784 844, Poland - 443 208 and China - 371 295 bottles.
During the period under review, the growth was notable: Russia - 124%, Ukraine – 66%, Poland – 26%, Lithuania – 34% (137 448 bottles), Kyrgyzstan – 70% (67 746 bottles), USA - 19% (62 448 bottles), Germany - 89% (80 814 bottles), China 2%, Byelorussia – 297% (61 920 bottles), UK – 40% (21 432 bottles) and etc.
In whole, wine, brand, Chacha, wine materials, brand on tap and brand alcohol export income exceeded 33.1 mil USD.
