Georgia participated in \"Tenth China Wine Fair\" as a special guest
Georgia participated as a special guest in „Tenth China International Wine Fair (CIADE 2016)“ held on 19-21 March in Luzhou, China.
The fair was opened by head of National Wine Agency, Giorgi Samanishvili and he hosted national government representatives at Georgian display stand. Georgian wine presentation and degustation was held in the framework of the fair, which was lead by the main specialist of marketing and PR department of Agency, Giorgi Sikharulidze and one of the leading sommelier in China, Xu Renqing.
With National Wine Agency support, the following Georgian wine company wines were introduced: “Winery Khareba”, “Bagrationi 1882”, “Dugladze Wines & Spirits”, “Teliani Valley”, “Chateau Mukhrani”, “Teleda Winery” , GWS and “Bolero”
During the visit in Sichuan province, Luzhou, together with the representatives of National Wine Agency, the gubernator deputy of Kakheti region, Givi Metreveli and vice-mayor of Telavi, Levan Liluashvili were in Georgian delegation membership. They organized meetings with representatives of native Government for future relationship acquisition and Georgian Wine popularization support.
Georgian wine will be displayed on one more Chinese fair this week, “The 94th China Food & Drinks Fair” held in the city of Sichuan province, Chengdu, on 21-26 March.
China is one of the strategic markets for Georgian wine export. 2015th year was especially important for Georgian wine export point in China– export growth reached 122% compared to the 2014th year, totally 2 672 154 bottles (0.75l) were exported.
