International Exhibition ‘’Gruene Woche 2016’’ is opened in Berlin
The biggest international fair for agriculture, horticulture and food worldwide \"Green Week 2016\" was opened in Berlin. Otar Danelia, Minister of Agriculture, Lado Chanturia, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Germany also members of Georgian Delegation attended the exhibition.
Georgian stand is presented at the exhibition, through support of the Ministry of Agriculture of Georgia, Georgian companies will display their products - wine, alcohol, beer, lemonade, juice, tea, churchkhela, gozinaki, fruit leather, tkemali, jam, nuts. Georgian cuisine with variety of traditional dishes - khachapuri, chvishtari, phkhali etc will be presented at the exhibition. Georgian ensemble ‘’ Shvidkatsa’’ will perform polyphonic folk songs for the guests to compliment the tasty offerings.
Georgian companies presented their products: \"Kimerioni\", \"Chelti\", \"Tibaneli\", \"Badagoni\", \"Mildiani\", \"Corporation Kindzmarauli\", \"Shukhman Vainsi\", \"Kakhetsianl\", \"Kula\" \"Livo\", \"Geohause\", \"Makovski Rusa\" presented their products in Gruene Woche 2016. The representatives of the National Tourism Administration and tourism companies attended the exhibition. Georgian products attach particular importance on international markets after signing the EU Association Agreement.
Berlin International Exhibition of Agriculture is one of the largest and most prestigious exhibition-fair throughout the world. Approximately 1600 companies 65 countries participate in ‘’Gruene Woche 2016’’. The number of visitors is annually increasing, this year it exceeds 400 000.
Otar Danelia, Minister of Agriculture will attend the Ministerial meeting held within the frame of the ‘’Gruene Woche 2016’’. Ministers are invited 60 countries to participate in the summit. The Minister of Food and Agriculture of Germany will hold a reception within the frame of the exhibition, Agricultural Ministers of other countries will have an opportunity to discuss prospects of further cooperation.
During his visit to Germany Otar Danelia, Minister of Agriculture of Georgia will hold bilateral meetings with his Counterpart Ministers Germany, Austria, Latvia, Estonia, Moldova as well as with the representatives of International Organizations and Agricultural Equipment Manufacturer Companies. Morocco becomes the first partner country Africa at the leading trade fair for agribusiness in ‘’ Green Week 2016’’. The main topic of discussion will be ‘’Urbanization and Food Security ‘’ .
Food, Agriculture and Horticulture International Exhibition ‘’Gruene Woche 2016’’ will be held on January 14-25in Berlin. The exhibition is held annually since 1926 and is one of the best exhibition-fair to promote agro production worldwide. It should be noted, that this year marks the 90th anniversary of the exhibition.
