Presentation of Qvevri Wine in London
On March 10-11, International Wine Exhibition "RAW WINE" is being held in the UK, London, where Georgian Qvevri wine producer cellars are participating.
The exhibition was attended by the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Georgia to the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland Tamar Beruchashvili.
With the support of the National Wine Agency, the following producers are participating in this year’s exhibition: "Gotsa Family Wines", "Natenadze’s Wine Cellar", "Chateau Khashmi", "Vellino Wine Cellar", "Nikala Family Cellar", "Akhmeta Wine House", "Winemaking Anapea" , "Alexander's Wine Cellar", "Baia's Wine" and "Artana Wines".
Within the framework of the exhibition the corner of Georgian cuisine was also arranged. Representatives of the National Wine Agency and participant companies held meetings with British importers.
Visitors to the exhibition will have the opportunity to taste Qvevri wine, get acquainted with the ancient tradition of its production, culture and history of the country. The British market is very important in terms of being one of the biggest importer and wine users in the world.
Georgia has been participating in "RAW WINE" since 2012, which gives the opportunity to find potential importers, represent Qvevri wine. According to the Georgian winemakers, the exhibition has brought them important importers in the past years.
