Presentation of Georgian Wine in Japan
Presentation of Georgian wine was held at the International Food and Beverage Exhibition FOODEX JAPAN 2019, Tokyo Japan. 14 Georgian winemaking companies have presented their products the the exhibition.
The 44th International Food and Beverage Exhibition FOODEX JAPAN 2019 is held in Tokyo on March 5-8. With the support of the National Wine Agency, Georgian wine producing companies have the opportunity to participate in this exhibition since 2015. The following companies are participating in this year’s exhibition: "Vite Vera", "Teliani Valley", "Kakhuri", "Winery Khareba", "Tsinandali Old Cellar", "Shilda Winery", "Bolero and Co", "Telavi Wine Cellar", "Vazisubani Estate"," Chelti Winery "," Matrobela Wines "," Badagoni "," Chigogidze Wines "and" Dugladze Wines and Spirits".
Participation in "Foodex Japan" is the best way to popularize Georgian product and develop on Japanese market as well as search for new distributors. "FOODEX JAPAN" is held since 1976 and is considered as one of the largest exhibitions in Asia.
Within the frames of the exhibition, Kenichi Okashi, head of the National Wine Agency contractor company "Red Bridge", presented Georgian wine tasting for Japanese wine professionals. The event was attended by Acting Ambassador of Georgia to Japan Archil Machavariani and eepresentative of the embassy, David Goginashvili.
