Georgian Wine Export Has Grown by 11% and the Exported Wine Price by 19%

According to LEPL National Wine Agency, in January-November 2018,  up to 78mil. bottles (0,75l)  of wine have been exported to 53 countries worldwide, that is 11% higher than the similar data of 2017.

The current data of 11 months has already exceeded  total export of 2017, when Georgia exported  record amount of the past 30 years – 76,7mil. bottles of wine. 

Exported  wine income for January-November 2018 amounted to 184,1 mil. USD, that is 19% higher than the data of the previous year.

Georgian wine exports have  increased in Georgian wine strategic markets: Japan - 30% (201275), Poland - 27% (3026652), UK -  34% (103724) and  USA - 3% (456376); 
Also on European and American markets:  Romania - 477% (99774), Czech  69% (57708), Netherlands -  41% (72249), France - 15% (113885), Lietuva - 19% (439980),   Estonia –11% (509840), Latvia - 10% (1612234), Germany - 9% (439638), Canada - 7% (173538)  and etc.
Also, on traditional and Asian markets: Turkmenistan - 102% (135294), Kyrgyzstan - 34% (179610), Kazakhstan - 10% (3396452), Mongolia - 27% (214398), Ukraine – 24% (9525172), Russia - 11% (48587707), Azerbaijan - 11% (48587707), South Korea - 275% (68124), Singapore -6700% - (40800)   and etc.

The first five of the exporter countries are the following: Russia (48587707), Ukraine  (9525172),  China  (6275909), Kazakhstan  (3396452) and  Poland (3026652).   
 
In addition, in January-November, 17,8 mil. bottles (0,5 liters) of brandy have been exported to 25 countries worldwide, that is 9% higher than the similar data of the last year. Exported brandy amounted to 36,4 mil. USD, growth amounted to 3%.

In the period under review, 360  thousand bottles (0.5 l) of  “Chacha”  have been exported to 26 countries worldwide, growth amounted to 43%. Totally,  1 mil. USD worth of Chacha has been exported, which is 32% higher than the similar data of the last year.

Totally, wine, bandy, “Chacha”, brandy alcohol and brandy in pour  income amounted to 281  mil. USD – growth in comparison with the similar data of the previous year amounted to 10%.
