The Minister of Agriculture of Georgia Held Meeting in the Coordination Staff of Vintage
The minister of Agriculture, Levan Davitashvili was in Telavi he met the members of the vintage coordination staff and learnt detailed information about the progress of the vintage the head of National Wine Agency, Giorgi Samanishvili.
As Levan Davitashvili estimated, vintage 2016 is in progress with no interruptions.
“In Kakheti, vintage is in active progress. 11 thousand viticulturists delivered grapes to the wine companies. According to the amount of the grapes reprocessed, the last week was the ceiling, the daily indicator of the grapes reproduced exceeded 6 thousand tones. In spite of this, the process of the delivering grapes to the wine companies goes on fluently. The government keeps the promise, that no viticulturist will have grapes unregistered and the vintage 2016 will finish successfully and productively”-mentioned the minister of Agriculture.
According to the data of September 23, 14:00, by 67,5 thousand tones of grapes have been reproduced within framework of the vintage 2016, 35,5 thousand tones of Rqatsiteli, 27,9 thousand tones of Saferavi, 2,1 thousand tones of Kakhetian Green and the rest of other grape cultures.
11 thousand viticulturists delivered their grapes to the wine companies, the income amounted 59 mil Gel.
Wine factories in the regions still operate at full capacity - 5 901 tones of grapes have been reproduced during the past day. According to the amount of the grapes reproduced in the municipality, the statement is the following: Gurjaani – 24 thousand tones, Kvareli – 16,5 thousand tones, Telavi – 15,5 thousand tones, Signagi – 6,4 thousand tones, Dedoflisckaro – 1,6 thousand tones, Lagodekhi – 1.7 thousand tones, Sagarejo – 910 tones, Akhmeta – 930 tones.
According to the government decision, for grape harvest realization promotion purpose, for the physical persons delivering grapes in the wine companies, the subsidy is determined in the following way:
In Kakheti region, on Rqatsiteli and Kakhetian Green, 1kg– 0.45 Gel
Saferavi, 1kg – 0.20Gel
In Racha-lechkhumi and Qvemo Svaneti region, Mujiuetuli/Aleqsandrouli, 1kg-2Gel
