Georgian Wine Tasting in Krakow
Georgian wine tasting was held at the festival of "Najedzeni Fest" in Krakow, Poland. Festival is very popular in Krakow. All the wines exported from Georgia to Poland were represented at the Georgian corner. Currently, more than 40 companies export wine from Georgia to Poland.
The presentation of Georgian wine at the festival was organized by the National Wine Agency contractor company "Malinova".
According to Irakli Cholobargia, Head of Marketing and PR Department of the National Wine Agency, marketing activities in Poland will also be implemented next year.
"Marketing activities in Poland, the strategic export market of Georgian wine, started in 2012. With the support and organization of the National Wine Agency, various events are held in Poland for the promotion of Georgian wine. The result is obvious: In 2012 Georgia exported 1 million bottles of wine to Poland. At the end of the previous year, export rate reached up to 2,7 mil bottles”, stated Irakli Cholobargia.
Poland is in the top five of the Georgian wine exporter countries. The growth trend has been maintained in the current year - according to data of 9 months of 2018, 2,5 million bottles of wine was exported from Georgia, which is 32% higher than the similar data of the year last year.
