As a result of vintage, more than 60 thousand tones of grapes were reproduced in Kakheti region. The income of the local population amounted up to 110 million GEL. Prime Minister  of Georgia Mamuka Bakhtadze got informed about “Vintage 2018” process in Kakheti today.
The head of the government together with ministers of Environmental Protection and Agriculture of Georgia was visiting the "vintage 2018" coordination HQ which operates twenty-four hours in order to ensure the proper continuity of the vintage process.
Levan Davitashvili  informed the Prime Minister about the process of vintage 2018. According to him, the process is running smoothly and is organized. Moreover, there are no issues regarding the reproduction of grapes.
On the same day the head of the government has visited Giorgi Aladashvili's biodynamic winery in the village of Ruispiri, where different sorts of agricultural products are  produced.
"The flow of vintage is successful in Kakheti region. Based on today's information, more than 60 thousand tones of grapes is already reproduced and the local population gained up to 110 million GEL. This is a significant growth in comparison with the last year. Today we visited the bio-factory as well. It is crucial to develop the production of organic products in Georgia. As you already know, the Georgian government is working on a very important initiative regarding the taxing, which will give a vital stimulus to the production of organic products. This is exactly the spot we desire to occupy on the international market" mentioned Manuka Bakhtadze.
Prime Minister together with the Minister of Environmental Protection and Agriculture of Georgia has also visited  "Telavis Ghvinis Marani", where they were introduced to grapes reproduction and wine making process. The winery, which is equipped with the new technology, produces up to 5,5 million bottles of wine.
