Georgian wine tasting "Georgian Wine in Poland" was held in Toruń, Poland. The organizer of the event was the National Wine Agency contractor company "Vinisfera". Professionals: wine importers, distributors, owners of restaurants and stores, wine bloggers, totally about 30 guests were invited to the tasting.
Toruń is a very promising place for Georgian wines because this city is considered as a tourist and educational center of Poland. In 1997, Toruń entered the list of UNESCO cultural heritage monuments.
Various styles of wine were presented at the tasting - wines made of classical method, as well as Qvevri wines .
Tasting of Georgian wine was led by Marius Kapchinski, the Head of “Vinisfera”.
Poland is one of the strategic markets of Georgian wine and is included in the top five Georgian wine exporter countries. According to the data of January-April 2018, Poland exports over 1 million bottles of wine, which is 24% higher than the similar data of the previous year.
