Visit of OIV Master Students in Georgia
International Organisation of Vine and Wine (OIV) students of wine management master program are learning Georgian wine culture and modern wine-making.
A 18-man group is visiting Georgia this week. Within the introduction tour, masters were in Qartli, Kakheti and saw Georgian wine producer companies, learnt Qvevri-making technology and tasted different Georgian wines. They visited the following companies: “Ori Marani”, “Shumi”, “Papari Valley”, “Orgo”, “Vaziani Winery”, “Tsinandali”, “Bagrationi 1882”, “Chateau Mukhrani”, they also visited Qvevri-maker, Zaza Kbilashvili.
Qvevri wine and it's special technology impressed the guests especially.
They visited the museum of the National Wine Agency in Tbilisi, where presentation about Georgian wine culture was made by the Head of Marketing and PR Department of the National Wine Agency, Irakli Cholobargia.
Master program students are learning wine industry of different countries. OIV master students have visited Georgia for the third year already. International Organisation of Vine and Wine has incorporated Georgia in the list of the countries of interest of the study program in 2016.
