The group of Estonians visited the National Wine Agency
The Wine Tour is being held in Georgia by the initiative of Augustine Alop, professor of Tallinn University (Tallinna Rahvaülikool). During the wine tour, the 24-member group visited the National Wine Agency today. Irakli Cholobargia, head of the Marketing and PR Department of the Agency, had the Estonians guests viewed wine cellar, enoteca, and wine museum in the National Wine Agency.
Irakli Cholobargia made the presentation about the history and culture of Georgian wine. At the end of the meeting a documentary film "Georgia – The cradle of Wine" was screened and different varieties of wines were tasted.
Within the visit, guests will visit wine factories in Tbilisi and Kakheti.
Augusto Alope has been reading lecturies about wine culture in the "Tallinna Rahvaülikool" for 18 years and organizes wine tours in traditional wine countries such as France, Spain, Italy, Portugal and etc. He is also the founder of the wine club and often organizes tastings.
