On The 100th Anniversary of Independence of Georgia, A Meeting Was Held at The National Wine Agency
On the 100th anniversary of the announcement of the first independent Republic of Georgia, a meeting with the representatives of winemaking and viticulture cooperations was held at the National Wine Agency.
The guests were hosted by the Deputy Chairman of the National Wine Agency Andro Aslanishvili, Chairman of the Agricultural Cooperative Development Agency Giorgi Misheladze and Head of Marketing and PR Department of the National Wine Agency Irakli Cholobargia.
As it was noted at the meeting, from the very first years of independence, the foundation of viticulture and winemaking cooperatives has been established, which has moved to a new stage of development during the last few years.
The guests studied the wine cellar, enoteca and the museum of the National Wine Agency. They received information on the issues of interest in the development of viticulture and winemaking.
Finally, a documentary film "Georgia – The Cradle of Wine" was screened.
The creation of the first independent Republic of Georgia on the background of 8 thousand history of Georgian wine culture and traditions was an important step towards the development of the wine industry and the scientific development of the field. Since the very first day of independence, Georgia has begun restoring economics, one of the foundations of which was agriculture and viticulture and winemaking.
