On The 100th Anniversary of Independence of Georgia School Students Visited The Wine Museum
On the 100th anniversary of the announcement of the first independent Republic of Georgia, the students of "Georgian School Tbilisi" visited the National Wine Agency.
The schoolchildren studied the wine cellar, enoteca and the museum of the National Wine Agency. They received information about the 8 thousand year history of Georgian wine culture, the Georgian grape varieties, the importance of creation the first independent Republic of Georgia for the development of agriculture, in particular, winemaking and viticulture.
The screening of the film "Georgia – The Cradle of Wine" was arranged for children. The pupils also viewed the photo exhibition dedicated to the creation of the first independent Republic of Georgia, organized in the National Wine Agency.
The creation of the first independent Republic of Georgia on the background of 8 thousand history of Georgian wine culture and traditions was an important step towards the development of the wine industry and the scientific development of the field.
Since the very first day of independence, Georgia has begun restoring economic ruins from the revolution and war, one of which was the agricultural and viticulture and winemaking industry.
This period is particularly important in the direction of winemaking and viticulture, since in 1920 the scientific development of Georgian viticulture was founded.
