A Group of American Wine Professionals is Visiting Georgia

The 9-member group of American wine professionals is in Georgia. The group is headed by the founder of the National Wine Agency contractor company "TastingWorks", master of wine  Liza Granik, and its members are sommeliers and wine importers.
The visit started with "tasting" in Tbilisi, where about 30 companies of Georgian wine producers have been able to present their products and consult with the guests about how to sell their wine to the US market.
According to Liza Granik, as a result of tasting, American guests are  impressed with the quality and diversity  of Georgian wine.
“There was a great range of Georgian wines that showed the differences among the vintages, different styles, from different places in Georgia and the quality just gets better every year, some of the guests have some experience in Georgian wine but not a lot, they are very impressed with range of styles of wine”- stated Liza Granik.
During the tour, the guests will visit 15 Georgian wine producing companies in Kartli and Kakheti: "Chateau Mukhrani", "Alapiani", "Lagvinari", "Batono", "Papari Valley", "Orgo", "Chubini Wine Cellar", "Babaneuris Marani", "Satsnakheli", "Vaziani Winery", "Giuaani", "Nelkarisi", "Tbilvino", "Vine Ponto" and "Mosmieri". Wine professionals will get acquainted with Georgian wine-making technology and  taste Georgian wines made in the classical and traditional way. At the end of the tour, guests will attend the New Wine Festival at Mtatsminda Park on May 12th.
Similar activities organized by the National Wine Agency will enhance the awareness of Georgian wine and increase export in the US market.
