Exposition - "Georgia - The Cradle of Wine" Is Also Planned in Japan
During the working visit in Japan, the Advisor to the Chair of the National Wine Agency Davit Tkemaladze and Executive Director of the Association "Georgian Wine” Tina Kezeli met with the representatives of the famous exposition space “Terrada Warehouse” and “Sony Music Communications” company.
At the meeting the parties discussed the possibility of holding the most important Georgian exposition "Georgia – The Cradle of Wine" in Japan and organizational issues. The above mentioned exhibition was being held in “Cite des Civilisations Du Vin”, Bordeaux, France for 3 months in 2017, where tens of thousands of visitors were able to see Georgian exposition.
Members of the Georgian delegation introduced the detailed concept of the exhibition "Georgia – The Cradle of Wine" to the Deputy Director of the "Terrada Warehouse" Project Department Riota Kikuchi, the representative of “Sony Music Communications”, Shimeon Sato and the President of the Wine Import Consultation Company, Vataru Ivamoto. Except for 8000 years history of Georgian winemaking, the concept includes, seminars of masters of wine, thematic movie shows, folklore performances, lectures and seminars on Georgian wine and Georgian cuisine, wine tasting and etc.
The meeting touched upon the adaptation of expositions to the exhibition space, as well as financial and technical support.
The Japanese side once again reiterated their special interest and support for holding the exhibition.
The Advisor to the Chair of the National Wine Agency invited Riota Kikuchi, Shimeon Sato and Vataru Ivamoto to get acquainted with the history of Georgian culture and winemaking.
Georgian side discussed the possibilities of holding exposition “Georgia – The Cradle of Wine” and other thematic events at the meeting with the representatives of national museum of Tokyo “Ueno”, the museum “Nezu”, and representatives of “Gakushikaikani” in Japan. Gakushikaikani is the union of Seven national universities (Tokyo, Hokkaido, Tohoku, Nagoya, Kyoto, Osaka, Kyushu)developed in 1928.
The decision to hold Georgian exposition "Georgia - Wine Cradle" in Japan will be accepted in the nearest future.
