Presentation of Georgian Wine in Denmark
Today, Georgian wine was presented at the annual wine fair - “Copenhagen Wine Fair” held in Copenhagen, the capital of Denmark. The exhibition was attended by the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Georgia to the Kingdom of Denmark and Republic of Island, Gigi Gigiadze. The ambassador addressed the guests and spoke about Georgian wine culture and the perspectives of Georgian wine export growth in Denmark. This was the first time for Georgia to participate in this fair, which is very important for Georgian wine export market expansion and diversification. During the fair, Georgian wine seminar-tasting was also held. The fair was visited by up to 200 minor and medium importers. Within the frames of the far, seminar about the specifics of wine export in Denmark was organized, which is important for Georgian winemaker companies.
With the support of the National Wine Agency, the guests of the fair were able to taste 15 products of the following Georgian wine companies: “Vaziani Winery”, “Bruale/Cup Georgia”, “Mosmieri”, “Tsinandali Old Cellar”.
Totally, about 25 wine companies participated in the fair, most of which were from Italy and France, also, wine producers were represented from other European countries.
Last year Representatives of Georgian Embassy met the owner of the wine importer company “The Easy Company Aps” and the head of the Danish Wine Importers Association, Svend Let Muller in Denmark. Opportunities of Georgian wine export in Denmark Opportunities of Georgian wine export in Denmark and conditions of participating in the local fairs were discussed at the meeting, as a result of this meeting, presentation of Georgian wine in this fair was planned in order to develop Georgian wine on Danish export market.
