Presentation of Georgian Wines in The Cities of Poland
20 Georgian wine producer companies were presented at the international exhibition "EnoExpo 2017" in Krakow, Poland. The event was attended by Natalia Topchishvili, Advisor to the Ambassador of Georgia to Poland and representatives of the National Wine Agency.
With the support of the National Wine Agency, the following wine producers were presented at the exhibition: "Giuaani", "Vaziani", "Vinagora", "Bruale", "Chateau Nekresi", "Kakhetian Wine Cellar", "Shilda", "Tbilvino", “Telavi Wine Cellar", “Winery Khareba”, "Kvarlis Marani", "Corporation Georgian Wine", "Matrobela Wines", "Gevelli", “Batono", "Gozauri", KTW, "Besini" , “Kakhuri”, and " Schuchmann Wines Georgia ".
In the competition "EnoExpo 2017" Georgian wine company "Giuaani" has earned Gold medal for "Mtsvane Qvevri 2014". Totally 5 wines have been awarded Gold medals and one of them was Georgian wine. Wines of the same company – "Mtsvane Qvevri 2016" and "Qisi Qvevri 2016" have been awarded Bronze medals. The company "Telavi Wine Cellar" wines won a Bronze medal for "Satrapezo 10 Kvevri 2014".
Georgian wine tasting was held in Krakow, organized by the National Wine Agency, headed by Marius Kapcinski, head of the National Wine Agency contractor company "Vinisfera", and the agency contractor company "Malinova spólka z ograniczoną odpowiedzialnością S.K." held the Georgian wine tasting in Zakopane. Polish radio "ZET" interviewed Irakli Cholobargia, Head of Marketing and PR Department of the National Wine Agency.
According to Irakli Cholobargia, the event held in Poland will contribute to the establishment of Georgian wine in the Polish market and increase its competitiveness in the international market in general. "Poland is one of the strategic markets for Georgian wine export, where the National Wine Agency carries out various marketing activities during the year. This country has been keeping its place in the five of Georgian wine exporter countries for years. Presenting Georgian wine at such events will enhance awareness of Georgian wine on the international market. According to the data of 10 months of the current year, 2,15 million bottles of wine have been exported from Georgia to Poland, the growth compared to the same period of the last year amounted 18%, "- stated Irakli Cholobargia.
