Wine And Alcohol Beverage Export Data of Six Months 2017
In January-June 2017, 31,5 mil. bottles of wine have been exported to 44 countries worldwide, that is 59% higher than the similar data of the last year. In the period under review, 70,5 mil. USD worth of wine have been exported, that is 51% higher than the data of the last year.
“According to the export data of the first half 2017, wine export has grown by 60% compared to the same period of the previous year. Wine realization income has grown by 51%, the geography of export countries has also widened. Export has grown in the countries of European Union, China, USA and other countries, which is a result of collaborated work and marketing activity of National Wine Agency and wine sector”- stated the Head of National Wine Agency, Giorgi Samanishvili.
Export growth is remarkable in the following countries: China – 104% (3842412), Russia - 89% (19313343), Ukraine – 30%(2983000), Poland - 13% (1212704), Belarus - 43% (660674), Latvia - 19% (685508), USA - 43% (176274), Germany - 20% (200440), France - 457% (95530), Israel - 150% (105710), Azerbaijan - 241% (87402) and etc.
The first five of the exporter countries is the following: Russia - 19313343, China – 3842412, Ukraine -2983000, Poland - 1212704 and Kazakhstan - -1163827 bottles.
In addition, 6 858 734 bottles (0,5 liters) of brand have been exported to 17 countries worldwide, that is 85% higher than the similar data of the last year. Totally, 16 million USD worth of brand have been exported, the growth compared to the similar data of the last year is 88%.
In the period under review, 89 910 bottles (0.5 l) of “Chacha” have been exported in 16 countries worldwide, growth amounted 10%. Income of “Chacha” export amounted 245,6 thousand USD, the growth compared to the last year is 52 %.
Totaly, wine, band, “Chacha”, wine material, brand in pour and brand alcohol income amounted 122,14 mil. USD – growth in comparison with the similar data of the previous year amounted 56%.
