Georgian Wine Tasting for Polish Professionals
Georgian wine seminar and tasting “Georgian wines for the summer” was held in one of the most famous, historical winery “Winnica Srebrna Gora” in Krakow, Poland. The event was lead by the head of National Wine Agency contractor company “Vinisfera” Mariush Kapchinski.
Presentation of Georgian wine was attended by local importers, representatives of wine shops and restaurants, wine journalists and bloggers. Within the event, documentary about Qvevri wine culture was shown, also, Georgian folk dances by Iliko Sukhishvili National Ballet dancers was introduced.
The guests had opportunity to taste wines of the following companies: “Marani”, “Besini”, Wine man”, “Schuchmann wines Georgia”, “Chateau Mukhrani”, “Jeveli”, “Kindzmarauli Marani”, “Vaziani Company”, “Mandili”, “Corporation Kindzmarauli”, “Kakhetian Wine Cellar”.
Similar events are very important for Georgian wine popularization and publicity growth in Poland, which has been in the five of Georgian wine exporter countries in the recent years. In January-May of this year, over 978 thousand bottles of Georgian wine have been exported to Poland, that is 17% higher than the similar data of the previous year.
