Under the frame of his working visit to France, the Minister of Agriculture of Georgia, Levan Davitashvili held meetings at the Wine Civilization Center - city Bordeaux,  whereby,  Georgia gaining the special guest status will hold a grand exhibition in late July.

It's noteworthy, that Georgia will be the first invited country which opens the cycle of viticulture and winemaking exhibitions  and  at the same time will be an honorable host of the Wine Civilization Museum for a couple of months. Tasting events, conferences, film shows, seminars and other cultural events will be organized in line with the exhibition that will allow guests to better understand Georgian wine culture and history.

The Minister of Agriculture of Georgia, Levan Davitashvili held a meeting with the Director of the Global Business Development, Anne-Sophie Hottiaux. The meeting was held at the French International Communication and Marketing Agency SOPEXA. At the meeting, the sides have been focused on organizational issues of the  exhibition, which was dedicated to Georgian wine.

The sides made a decision, regarding  SOPEXA to conduct an advertising campaign of the Georgian wine in the World Civilization Center at Bordeaux for 4 months. Negotiations with France's International Communications and Marketing Agency will be continued for several months.

The large-scale advertising campaign on Georgian wine will be implemented in all strategic countries, therefore, SOPEXA will use all communication channels for this purpose- was mentioned at the meeting. Moreover, the French International Communications and Marketing Agency has got a great experience in the field of agriculture, which gives the basis to think, that the Georgian wine advertising campaign will be impressive and effective -was underlined at the meeting.

Within the framework of the visit, the Minister of Agriculture, Levan Davitashvili held a meeting with the Head of the Bordeaux Wine Civilization Center. The Minister visited the Exhibition Hall where the exhibition dedicated to Georgian wine will be opened in late July and will last for 4 months.

The Qvevri, as part of Georgian wine culture and history, will be remained at the center of the wine civilization when Georgian exhibition is finished. The Minister of Agriculture held meetings with the representatives of Matrix CFS and Tessendier Et Fils wine and spirits manufacturers in Bordeaux and Cognac.

Georgia\'s Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to France, Ekaterine Siradze-Delone, Chairman of the National Wine Agency, Giorgi Samanishvili, Executive Director of Association \"Georgian Wine\" Tina Kezeli and the Head of Georgian National Tourism Administration, Giorgi Chogovadze attended the event. On 18-19 June, Minister of Agriculture Levan Davitashvili is paying a working visit to France. Within the frame of his visit to France, the Minister of Agriculture of Georgia attended the international exhibition of wine and alcoholic beverages ‘’Vinexpo Bordeaux 2017’’ (Vinexpo Bordeaux 2017), where 24 Georgian wine producers presented their products.
