Vinexpo Bordeaux 2017
The Minister of Agriculture of Georgia, Levan Davitashvili is paying a working visit to the French city of Bordeaux. Under the frame of his visit, the Minister attended the opening of the Wine Expo \"Vinexpo Bordeaux 2017.
Considering the number of visitors and wines presented at the exhibition the ‘’Vinexpo Bordeaux’’ might be regarded as one of the most important and large scale events taken place in the wine industry around the globe, where wine leading specialists, buyers and importers are willingly invited. According to Levan Davitashvili, Georgia participates in ‘’ Vinexpo Bordeaux ’’ for the second time, therefore, it is very important to use this platform more efficiently was noted by the Minister.
\" Vinexpo Bordeaux’’ is the must-attend event for wine professionals, specialists and importers from different countries of the world, whereby Georgian wine producers have got opportunities to establish direct trade relations with importers and distributors. This year, Georgia\'s participation in the exhibition gains a special significance, furthermore, from July till November 2017 Georgia gaining the special guest status will hold a grand exhibition, that will further boost the popularization of Georgian wine and increase awareness of our country \"-said Levan Davitashvili.
24 Georgian wine producers - \"Tbilvino\", \"Chateau Mukhrani\", \"GWS\", \"Askaneli Brothers\", \"Badagoni\", \"Corporation Georgian Wine\", \"Winemaking Danieli\" \"Dugladze Wine Company\", \"Friends’’, \"Winemaking Danieli\", \"Dugladze\'s Wine Company\", \"Friends of Wine\", \"Giuaani\", \"Gruzvinprom\", \"KTW\", \"Winery Khareba\", \"Kindzmarauli Cellar\", \"Kakhetian Wine Cellar\" \"\" Kimerioni \",\" Shilda \",\" Shumi \",\" Telavi Wine Cellar \",\" Vaziani Company \",\" Wainman \",\" Corporation Kindzmarauli \"and\" Bruale\" present their products through support of the National Wine Agency this year.
As Georgia\'s Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to France, Ekaterine Siradze-Delone noted, Georgia has been participating in one of the most prestigious exhibitions undertaken in the wine industry –‘’ Vinexpo Bordeaux’’ for the second time. It’s noteworthy, that all activities taken place in France, especially in Bordeaux have special significance, therefore, Georgia is the first country which is invited to the Wine Civilization Center- Bordeaux.
The Minister of Agriculture of Georgia, Levan Davitashvili attended the Georgian Wine Tasting event \"Georgia - Wine Homeland\", which was held within the frame of the exhibition and chaired by Giorgi Samanishvili, Chairman of the National Wine Agency together with the Vice-President for the Commission of Alcoholic Beverages of the International Organization of Vine and Wine (OIV), Ana Godabrelidze.
The following wines were presented at the presentation: \"Green\" (Telavi Wine Cellar), \"Grand Reserve\" (GWS), \"Manavi\" (Kakhetian Wine Cellar), \"Khvanchkara\" (Winery Khareba), ‘’Kisi’’ (Tbilvino) Rkatsiteli \"(Duruji Valley),\" Saperavi \"(Chateau Mukhrani) and\" Shavkapito \"(Chateau Mukhrani).
The prestigious wine competition ‘’Citadelles Du Vin’’ was held under the frame of the exhibition in Bordeaux, where Georgian wine received the highest awards: Trophy wine \"Khareba 2012\" (company \"Winery Khareba\"),Gold medal - Makashvilis Wine Cellar \"Cabernet 2015\" (company \"Vaziani Company\"), a silver medal - \"Kindzmarauli 2013\" (the company \"Kakhetsian wine cellar\") and \"Chacha\" (company \"Shumi ).
Georgia\'s Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to France Ekaterine Siradze-Delone, Chairman of the National Wine Agency, Giorgi Samanishvili, Executive Director of Association \"Georgian Wine\" Tina Kezeli and Head of Georgian National Tourism Administration Giorgi Chogovadze attended the event.
International Wine and Spirits Exhibition ‘’ Vinexpo Bordeaux 2017’’ is held in the French city of Bordeaux, on June 18-21. The exhibition Vinexpo Bordeaux was founded by Bordeaux Trade-Commerce Chamber in 1981 and is held once in two years.
