Wine and Alcohol Beverage Export Data of Five Month
According to National Wine Agency data, in January-May 2017, 24,75 mil. bottles ((0,75l) of wine have been exported from Georgia to 41 countries worldwide, that is 64% higher than the similar data of the last year. In the period under review, 55,52 mil. USD worth of wine have been exported, that is 58% higher than the similar data of the last year.
The first five of exporter countries is the fallowing: Russia - 14 820 976, China - 3 324 144,Ukraine - 2 364 112, Kazakhstan – 1 048 195 and Poland – 978 360 bottles.
Export growth is remarkable in the following countries: China - 160% (3 324 144), Ukraine - 28% (2 364 112), Germany - 18% (167 296), Belarus - 59% (416 962), Poland - 17% (978 360), Russia -96% (14 820 976), USA – 54% (148 470), France - 500% (89 986), Azerbaijan - 202% (77 202), Israel- 253% (92 310), Latvia- 17% (547 946) and etc.
In addition, 5 521 594 bottles (0,5l) of brand have been exported to 17 countries worldwide, that is 66% higher, than the similar data of 2016. Totally, 13,3 mil USD worth of brand have been exported, growth compared with the similar data of the last year is 73%.
In the period under review, 73 586 bottles of “Chacha” have been exported to 16 countries worldwide, the growth amounted 95%, income of “Chacha” export amounted 205,2 thousand USD, the growth compared with the similar indicator of the last year reached 47%.
Totally, wine, brand, “Chacha”, wine material, brand in pour and brand alcohol export income in the period under review amounted 100,8 mil USD. The increase compared with the same period of the last year is 64%.
