Georgian Wine at “London Wine Fair 2017”
17 Georgian winemaker companies participated at the London international fair “London Wine Fair 2017” which was held in the exhibition center “Kensington Olympia” on May 22-24.
As the Main Specialist of National Wine Agency Marketing and PR Department, Giorgi Sikharulidze stated, interest towards Georgian wine from wine professionals at the fair was great.
“This fair is one of the most important fairs in the UK, which attracts lots of visitors from wine sector. The exhibition is attended by importers, distributors, owners of restaurants and bars, bloggers and media representatives. Participation in this fair is a unique chance for Georgian wine producers to introduce their production to European consumers, which promotes the raise of Georgian wine export and establishment of loyalty on the market” - stated Giorgi Sikharulidze.
According to him, UK is one of the priority markets for Georgian wine, where, different marketing activities are carried out by National Wine Agency.
With National Wine Agency support, the following 17 Georgian winemaker companies participated at the fair: Kakhetian Traditional Winemaking, Kindzmarauli Marani, Georgian Wine Hospitality Investment, Tbilvino, CAP-Georgia, Kakhetian Wine Cellar, Askaneli Brothers, Shumi, Winery Khareba, Dugladze Wines and Spirits, Mildiani- Tsinandali Old Cellar, Matrobela Wines, Giuaani, Vaziani Company, Twins Wine Cellar, Marniskari, Jimsher.
This is the 37th celebration of “London Wine Fair” and up to 10 thousand wines of 40 countries were represented at the fair.
