Popularization

The National Wine Agency organizes tasting, competitions, international wine conferences, exhibitions and media tours to promote the popularization and export growth of Georgian wine on the international and local markets.
Marketing activity includes two main directions:
Regions, where Georgian wine, as well as the Georgian region  is not popular;
Regions where the awareness is high, but the loyal segment needs to be increased.
Georgian wine will be presented  to the  professionals and amateurs with 3 main messages: "Georgia The Cradle of Wine" based on many historical and archaeological facts and sources that Georgia is one of the oldest home of winemaking.
An important message is "8 thousand continuous vintages" - Georgia is the only country where  winemaking started eight thousand years ago and this culture has never  been stopped.
The third major message is  - 525 unique local varieties. Georgia is truly unique among the famous winemaking countries of the world. Over 500 Georgian varieties of cultivated vine are described in Georgia. Such diversity proves  that the  existence of cultivated viticulture in Georgia counts for millennia.
Georgian Qvevri wine is   a separate segment. Promotion of unique rules and traditions of Qvevri winemaking is implemented  through exhibition-events as well as via  other communication channels. In 2013  Georgian traditional method of Qvevri winemaking  was approved by UNESCO  as the intangible cultural heritage monument, which points to the uniqueness of this method and is a message to the whole world that wine is a part of the ancient Georgian culture.
